Now you can travel between two of the most adventurous cities in the world… and on a nonstop service! Mexican airline Aeromexico, has initiated seasonal flights from Mexico City, Mexico to Liberia Airport in Guanacaste, Costa Rica as of November 10– this route will operate during the high season, ending April 21, 2019.
While Aeromexico has operated several flights to Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose for the past eight years, this direct flight to Daniel Oduber International Airport in Guanacaste will further contribute to the increase connectivity with Mexico, but also with all the connections that Aeromexico has with the United States, Asia and Europe.
“Costa Rica is a country full of opportunities and it has become a very close associate for Mexico. After the United States, Mexico is the second nation in the continent that invests most in Costa Rica”, commented Paul Verhagen, international sales director for Aeromexico.
In the past decade the number of visitors from Mexico has increased immensely. By the end of 2017, over 100 thousand Mexicans tourists had visited Costa Rica, which is evidence of interest in the Costa Rica tourism market.
The flight itineraries for this new route are: leaving from Mexico City to Liberia at 8:15 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays (Mexico time) and departing from Liberia at 12:06 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays (CR time). The spacious plane holds up to 99 passengers.
